RFA ANNOUNCEMENT 2017 – 2018

Susan G. Komen® South Florida is proud to announce the release of its RFA (Request for Application) for services to be provided fiscal year 04/01/2017 to 03/31/2018. Two separate application releases are being issued – one in the area of Patient Care, and the other in the area of Breast Health Navigation/Education. Applications for breast cancer and breast health programs from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and educational institutions in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties are eligible for grant funding.

The promise of Komen South Florida is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. The organization runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Komen South Florida is proud to have funded over $ 500,000 to local community programs in 2016-2017 that support breast cancer screening and treatment programs, as well as education and outreach for the medically underserved in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties.

Our grant cycle runs from 04/01/2017 through 03/31/2018. Applications from eligible entities must be submitted online through the Grants e-Management systems (GeMS): https://affiliategrants.komen.org by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Announcements of funding will be made in April 2017.

All potential grantees are strongly encouraged to attend the Applicant Workshop: Thursday October 13, 2016 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Teleconference Room, 1st floor, 1309 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. In late September the application instruction manual will be available on the Affiliate’s Grants webpage at http://www.komensouthflorida.org/grants/how-to-apply-for-funding/community-grant-programs, and organizations will be able to create application(s) at https://affiliategrants.komen.org.

Please RSVP to Nicole Bullaro at nicole@komensouthflorida.org to register for the Applicant Workshop by October 6, 2016. Although it is preferred that organizations register for the workshop, it is not a requirement in order to be able to attend and/or submit an application(s). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Lisa Hartstein, Director of Mission Initiatives, by phone 561-514-3020 x14 or email lisa@komensouthflorida.org.
