Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar donates $20,000 to the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

WHAT: Monday, November 25 at 2 pm philanthropist and restaurateur Rocco Mangel of Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar will present an oversized check for $20,000 to the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure at Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar in West Palm Beach. As part of the restaurant’s annual October “Tacos and Tatas Tuesdays” campaign, Rocco’s five Florida locations raised a total of $30,000 – contributing $20,000 to the South Florida chapter and $10,000 to the Orlando chapter. In 2011/2012 Rocco raised more than $32,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, bringing the three year grand total to $62,000, exceeding their goal year after year. In addition to his work with Susan G. Komen, Rocco donates time and energy to local chapters of several charities including: Habitat for Humanity, Genesis Work Dogs, Tri-County Humane Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the YMCA.
