Sun Sentinel–Downtown Lake Worth is getting a pink makeover to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation–South Florida.

October 9, 2013

Downtown Lake Worth is getting a pink makeover as nearly 30 area vendors participate in Girls Night Out to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation – South Florida.

“This is the first year for this event,” organizer Chad Stiles said. “We really wanted something that would bring the community together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.”

From 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, the night is about women; from specialty vendors to gift bags, it’s an opportunity for women to grab their friends and have fun. K Street, which will be closed to traffic from First to Lucerne avenues, will be the starting point of the evening.

“Although all of downtown Lake Worth is participating…K Street is where women can purchase their goodie bags. There will also be activities, vendors and live music here,” Stiles said.

The bags will be $5 and once purchased participating vendors will give each person a gift when they visit their store.
